We Could Be Heroes: 10 Extraordinary People in The Industry

planetimage

We can all be heroes in our journey. For those that work in the adult entertainment industry, it can be observed differently however, I do not think that’s true. Whether they know it or not, they are heroes. All we look for is love and light in our lives and our potential is everyone’s hope. Below I have named 10 individuals in the adult entertainment industry (model, producer, director, agent) who I think are filled with that potential. A hero.

(Not in any particular order)

  1. Brian Bonds– I have known Brian back even before he worked in porn. Living in Arkansas, he worked at Taco Bell. I think he lived in his own apartment then. He had the inspiration leave work and experience freedom. He dropped weight and bulked up since then. He has worked with Jason Sparks and from there its history! He now has an exclusive contract with Raging Stallion. This man is a hero because he, my god, went under a great transformation. A phoenix in the making and someone to look up to when taking a leap of faith to be free.
  2. mr. Pam– A wonderful person I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. Wise and her energy infectious: she has a life rich with experience. Enough so, you could say she has had many lifetimes in one! Being one of the only female videographers in gay porn, she has had several nominations for her work. Starting in 1996, Her attitude/persona on-set is a tank girl-kick ass camera gal with compassion for those that need her. Now residing in San Francisco, she has done a lot since she started. mr. Pam is a hero because I observe and feel that her experience, open-mindedness and compassionate nature can lend its hand as a brilliant professor/teacher.
  3. Michael Brandon– A soft-spoken man with a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig heart. I first met him for lunch (I remember being late though running across a few city blocks to meet him; all sweaty trying to keep my composure~it was funny).  After asking a lot of questions about him, I had only scratched the surface. That’s rare for someone. This man has been through a lot. A survivor of suffering, addiction, and many other things he rose to super stardom making some 200 films in the industry. A lot of the things he focuses on now is charity and his work as an activist. He’s also responsible for inviting me to do a lot of charity events and live performances. Michael is a hero because he is a warrior but a different kind of warrior. Sitting Bull better described this: “Warriors are not what you think of as warriors. A warrior for us, is one sacrifices himself for the good of others…to take care of the elderly, the defenseless, those who cannot provide for themselves, and above all the future of humanity.” 🙂
  4. Bebe Sweetbriar– I met first Bebe at a charity event for the wounded warriors project at Beatbox. Since then, Bebe invited me to do several gogo events in San Francisco.  An amazing entertainer, actor, artist, columnist, and activist Bebe emobodies a jack of all trades. An advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality and the fight against HIV/AIDS stigma BeBe has been recognized by the State of California’s Senate with Recognition and by San Francisco non-profit organizations with the Sylvester Award of Inspiration (bebesweetbriar.com, 2011). Among other things, Sweetbriar also has been doing a TV talk show as of late and it has been quite successful! Bebe is a hero because the darkness cannot operate while she shines. I believe in her! And I can easily see Bebe doing a mainstream talk show.
  5. Johnny V– I never met him personally however, I’ve observed some really noble endeavors he wanted to take on. A muscular guy recently signed on to Falcon studios as an exclusive model. He recently posted something on gofundme about raising $100,000. A lot of folks have a knee jerk reaction to this kind of thing BUT I don’t…I actually admire his reasons. Taken from gofundme: “However, I now watch my parents struggle day-to-day with money issues and debt, because of this. My father is always working to try to build back what he once had (in terms of his finances), without any leeway. I carry this issue into my life because I want to give back to my family. I am hard working (due to watching my father’s work ethic over the years) and want to help my parents reduce the stress in their lives, due to money problems. I also would like to put these donations towards my future and schooling for personal training and opening up my own gym/supplement line.”
Maybe it’s because I can relate so much coming from a poor family. Johnny is a hero because of his compassion to help his family and others who may ask for it. You can help him in his fundraiser here at gofundme: CLICK HERE
  6. Howard AndrewOwner of Fabscout, he has set the standard for agents. Making sure models are treated right and that they are okay and that the studios have what they need. More so, he’s an all around nice guy. From promotional and charity events to putting out ‘fires’ from frictional situations; he paved the way for premium content to be created and models to be happy. Howard is a hero because of his power to give so much!
  7. Adam Q. Robinson– VP of Falcon Studios Group (Falcon, Raging Stallion, Hot House), A man I was happy to be introduced to. I worked with his company a while back and since then I have learned a quite a bit about him. 22 years since testing HIV+,  he participates in the AIDS/LifeCycle which is an annual event that takes place across 7 days, 500+ miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Committed to donating funds he raises to prevent new infections and sustain vital services who needs them (San Francisco AIDS Foundation). Adam is a hero because of his perseverance and his ability to recognize his power to make a difference in the world. You can go to his AIDS/LifeCycle page HERE and donate!
  8. Trelino– An actor I happen to meet on set of JetSetMen and again on set of PeterFever. An extremely creative individual who has this…this power to touch your spirit. I still find it hard to articulate what I mean here. Outside of the adult entertainment industry, he managed to choreograph dances, sing, and a variety of other projects that have people drawn to him. Trelino has the potential to be a hero because of his creativity to draw people to a cause of his choosing. :3
  9. Dylan Knight– Another actor whom I also met on the set of JetsetMen. I shared a room with him at the hotel and found him to be quite the individual. Among a lot of adult work, Dylan has worked in healthcare field, participated in acrobatic performances, gogo’d many events. He has paved quite the path for himself at his age. Dylan is a hero because he is a walker between the worlds. Wearing any ‘hat’ he wants to, I can imagine him doing anything.
  10. Chi Chi La Rue– One of the most influential and recognizable names inside and outside the adult film industry. While Chi Chi did battle some of her own demons her energy continued to be infectious wherever she went. Chi Chi La Rue is a hero because people look up to her. Chi Chi would make one hell of a life coach….or run for president…yes run for president ha! 😉

So there you go, 10 individuals (heroes) of the adult entertainment industry who bring love and light into our world. I’ve been wanting to write something like this for quite a while now. (If you want me to add to this list, drop me a message with some details). Show them support and love and let them know that they’re potential is everyone’s hope! After all, who else would make the world sexy and better at the same time ;)~
